Online Orders - Cancellations and Returns
Please note that our Online Returns policy is different to our in-store policy. The information below is our Online Returns policy. In-store details are available when shopping in our Hitchin shop.
Cancellations / Returns
- Our policy last 14 days. If it is more than 14 days since your purchase, we won't be able to offer you a refund or exchange. If you'd like to ask for a refund or exchange please e-mail or write to us (info@etceterahomefashion.co.uk). We are unable to accept these requests by phone. Contact must be made before returning items to us as our online store operates on a different system to our in-store sales and therefore have to be handled separately.
- If you do cancel, you must return the goods to us within 14 days of cancellation, complete with the original packaging, at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage and are in the original packaging. We may ask you to send us a digital photograph of the product before you send it back. The item must be unused and in the same condition you received it. We may specify an alternate address to return the goods to.
- Some products, such as Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
- You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
- This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
- Postage costs are not refundable, if you are given a refund the original postage cost will be deducted from the refund.
Sale Items
- Sale items cannot be refunded or returned.
Faulty Goods / Guarantee
- All goods are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty against faulty workmanship and materials, subject to the terms and conditions of that warranty.
- The manufacturer’s warranty is provided in addition to the rights that the law says you have as a consumer and accordingly, your statutory rights are not affected.
- If there is a problem with the goods, please notify us as soon as possible by email or in writing providing details of the problem. We may ask you for a digital photograph of the problem before deciding whether to ask you to return the goods for inspection. We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights.
- If an exchange is necessary, we will arrange this without charge. Replacement goods will not be dispatched until we have received and checked the original goods.
- The cost of returning goods to us is your responsibility. When we have inspected and confirmed that the goods are faulty, we will refund your reasonable postage costs. If the goods are not faulty, we will return them to you, however you will be required to cover our reasonable postage costs.
Incorrect Items
- If we have accidentally sent the wrong item please notify us within 14 days. We will normally ask for a photo.
- If it is an incorrect item we will send you a returns label and will either send you the correct item or a refund upon safe receipt of the item. It may take a couple of days to process this.
