Etcetera was born on the 19th November 1982.

Opened by Anne, her then 15 year old daughter was the Saturday girl. Fast forward to 2001 and Katrina was back working part time doing the accounts and admin whilst raising her daughters. Katrina became fully involved in 2010 and Anne and Katrina have worked as a team ever since.

Anne’s heritage is Danish (and Katrina was born in Copenhagen) and they both pride themselves in sourcing Scandinavian products as well as products from Europe. Other product is sourced from mostly independent, family run UK businesses.

Family is an important ethos for Etcetera. The team are long standing and very knowledgeable. Our longest serving has been with us for almost 27 years and the newest 6 years. Katrina’s daughter and nephew help with uploading pictures for the website and Anne and Katrina’s dogs can often be found in the office.

Katrina is a judge for the Gift Of The Year awards and also The Henries which is an industry award for greetings cards.

Etcetera have won some industry awards, namely Independent Gift Retailer Home Counties, South and South East and Best Lifestyle Homewares Retailer of Gifts.

We like to treat our customers as friends and your dogs are welcome - you will always find a bowl of water and doggy treats on hand.
